Statement from Elyssa:

Hello, I’m Elyssa. Have you been feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed by your emotions, or stuck repeating the same painful patterns? Many people come to me feeling exhausted, rejected, or unsure how to change. My approach to therapy is warm and validating, but also direct and honest. I offer a safe, steady environment where you can explore both current and past challenges without judgment. My goal is to help you create meaningful, measurable change using practical, evidence-based skills. I believe therapy should fit the individual, and together we will build an approach that works specifically for you.

I specialize in Borderline Personality Disorder, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and all forms of addiction. I also work extensively with survivors of invalidating or chaotic environments, betrayal trauma, and long-standing emotional patterns that feel hard to break. I bring lived experience to this work, which allows me to offer an empathetic, grounded, and real approach that many clients say feels different from other therapy they’ve tried. People often tell me they appreciate my direct communication, emotional attunement, and the balance of validation with accountability.

In therapy with me, you can expect honesty, compassion, and structured support. I use a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR to help you regulate emotions, improve relationships, and heal deeper wounds. In our first session, we’ll explore your story, discuss treatment options, and decide together what feels like the best path forward. I also offer DBT groups and between-session skills coaching to support change outside the therapy room.

My ultimate goal is to help you become confident and independent in managing your emotions, relationships, and challenges. Whatever you’re facing, change is possible—and we can work together to build a life that feels stable, meaningful, and worth showing up for.

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Couples

  • Parent and Child Relations

  • Divorce

Statement from Kristi:

Hello! My name is Kristi Clews, and I am a Master of Social Work student at Grand Canyon University, currently completing my clinical training. I recently completed an internship at the OCD Anxiety Center in Bountiful, Utah, where I worked with individuals experiencing OCD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and PTSD.

During this time, I gained hands-on experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills coaching, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and group facilitation. I love working with all ages and creating collaborative treatment plans that  help clients achieve challenging goals and work toward living the lives that they want to live.

My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that healing begins when clients feel heard and supported, and I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where clients can explore their struggles and build resilience.

Outside of my work, I’m a mom of four, a proud Gryffindor, and a lover of books, laughter, and time outdoors. Whether I’m hiking with my two dogs or enjoying a quiet moment to read, I value balance and joy in everyday life—something I encourage in my clients as well.

Specialties:

  • OCD

  • Generalized anxiety Disorder

  • Social anxiety

  • All Ages

Statement from Emily:

Hello, I'm Emily-

Since beginning my work in the mental health field in 1999, I’ve had the privilege of serving clients across the full continuum of care—from inpatient and residential settings to outpatient and community-based programs. My experience has included leading international therapeutic service-learning adventures and, most recently, developing and facilitating intensive outpatient programming for individuals of all ages navigating Substance Use Disorders.

I’ve been attending professional conferences and trainings in evidence-based practices since 2009, staying current with the most effective approaches to treatment and personal growth. Over the years, I’ve worked with people facing a wide range of diagnoses, life transitions, and relational challenges.

As a mother, a daughter of deceased parents, and an adventurer, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals and couples strengthen their relationships—whether those are with romantic partners, family members, friends, colleagues, or even the non-human aspects of life such as health, money, and one’s broader life path. I have found deep wisdom is studying Gottsmans' theories and Carl Jungian philosophies while also being a certified Life Coach and a Love and Logic facilitator. I have found it very rewarding to provide tools and techniques to repair and strengthen people's lives and relationships.

In our work together, I aim to help you identify your unique strengths, perspectives, barriers, and strategies so that you can thrive and create more fulfilling connections—with yourself and with others.

I look forward to meeting you and collaborating on your journey toward growth, balance, and well-being.

Devin Gutierrez, CPSS

Devin’s personal and life experiences make him an excellent peer to share his skills with you for managing anger, stress, and addiction.

Specialties:

  • Addiction

  • Anger Management

  • Education Groups

  • Adults Ages 18+

Statement from Devin:

Hi, my name is Devin. I am passionate about recovery and helping others work through the challenges of addiction and overwhelming emotions. I am currently in school for social work, and I decided to earn my CPSS certification because of my own journey through healing and learning to manage emotions in healthier ways. My experiences taught me the importance of support, understanding, and having real tools that actually make a difference—things I’m committed to sharing with others.

My passion for helping people comes from living through my own trauma and emotional struggles and having to make serious changes in my life. One of the biggest things I’ve learned along the way is that you can’t do this alone. Growth takes support, honesty, and someone who isn’t afraid to challenge you when you’re stuck. I don’t believe in staying comfortable in the same patterns—I believe in pushing forward.

My style tends to be very direct. I’m not the type to sugarcoat things, and I don’t like watching people stay stagnant when I know they’re capable of more. I use a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and educational approach, but I also bring a straightforward intensity that helps people break through the places where they’re holding themselves back. I want people to feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process.

I believe everyone deserves hope, guidance, and someone who genuinely understands what it feels like to struggle. Recovery from anger, addiction, or any other challenge isn’t easy, but it is possible. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to offer encouragement, real-life skills, and the kind of direct support that helps people move toward a stronger, calmer, and more stable future.
